About Cynergy

Mission: CYNERGY is Capital area young people (ages 20-40), connecting to foster career, social and community betterment. It is a division of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce. Bangor Savings Bank is the major sponsor.

Background: CYNERGY is affiliated with REALIZE!Maine to strengthen the network of young people living and working in Maine and to entice more young professionals to locate here.

300 Strong: More than 300 Capital area young people have joined CYNERGY and most attended the Augusta riverfront launch party in June. Structure: Cynergy is an opportunity for younger members of the Capital region workforce to use their talents, skills, enthusiasm and high energy to further their own growth and career interests while seeking ways to support community needs. It operates with a steering group and two key committees:

Community Service: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The goals of the Community Service committee are to find outlets in our area to help affect positive social and community change.

Do you want to become a valuable resource for the next generation of young people in the Kennebec Valley? Are you willing and able to spend a half hour during your work day, once a month, to mentor high school students?  If so, you'd be a perfect candidate for the Cony/Cynergy Collabortive!  Cynergy is currently seeking volunters to participate in this program, which recently completed its pilot semester. If your interest has been piqued and you'd like more information, please contact Community Service Committee Chair Erin Bechard at 622-5801 or via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Social Networking & Professional Development: This committee plans monthly socials and "socials with substance" and helps our members keep up to date on the latest in area job growth, interesting seminars and conferences.
